Website terms and legacy SpoolRoute license

Agreement and operator

Knisley Digital is operated by Knisley 3D Solutions LLC, located in Ohio, United States. By using this website, you agree to the website provisions below. Existing SpoolRoute purchases remain governed by the purchase and license provisions accepted at the time of purchase, including the rights preserved below.

If you purchased for a company or another organization, you confirmed that you had authority to bind it to those terms.

Eligibility for prior purchases

Standalone SpoolRoute purchases were offered only to customers in the United States. A purchaser was required to be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where the purchaser lived and able to enter a binding agreement.

Website use

You may use the public website for lawful evaluation, support, and product use. You may not interfere with the website, bypass access controls, probe private services without permission, submit deceptive purchase information, or use the site to violate another person's rights or applicable law.

Product descriptions and availability are maintained in good faith, but a typographical or configuration error may be corrected. If an error materially affects a completed purchase, Knisley Digital will offer an appropriate correction or refund.

Existing SpoolRoute purchases and licenses

The standalone purchase price was $149 USD as a one-time payment. One purchase licensed one web app at one public HTTPS website origin. The licensed web app may use SpoolRoute across unlimited Windows computers, installed printers, users, and print jobs.

After payment and website verification, Knisley 3D Solutions LLC grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable commercial license to install and use the delivered SpoolRoute desktop software and to integrate the supplied browser SDK with the licensed web app. The web app may make that integration available to its authorized users.

A free website change replaces the previously licensed origin. It does not create an additional simultaneous license. Contact support before transferring a project or license to another owner.

Perpetual use and updates

The license to versions delivered under a paid, unrefunded purchase is perpetual unless terminated for a material violation of these terms. Updates that Knisley Digital releases while it actively maintains SpoolRoute are included at no additional license charge.

This does not promise a particular update, feature, platform, support period, release schedule, or indefinite product maintenance. If active maintenance ends, the purchaser may keep using versions already delivered under the license, subject to these terms and technical compatibility.

Current release and system responsibility

The current signed release is 0.1.0-alpha.6 for Windows. It is alpha software and may contain defects or change as it develops. macOS and Linux are not currently supported.

You are responsible for evaluating SpoolRoute with the relevant web app, Windows computers, printers, drivers, networks, and security policies. The installed printer test requires the SpoolRoute desktop app. The compatibility requirements in effect at purchase and the 14-day compatibility guarantee are described in the refund policy. Printer capabilities depend on the installed Windows driver and hardware.

Permission and lawful printing

SpoolRoute requires a user to approve the exact website and saved printer setups. You must not use it to print from an unauthorized website or computer, evade user approval, distribute harmful or unlawful material, or interfere with another person's printers, systems, or data.

Print files move locally between the browser and SpoolRoute on the user's computer. You remain responsible for the content sent by your web app and for giving users any notices or choices required by your own workflow.

SpoolRoute is not designed as a fail-safe system for emergency, medical, life-safety, aviation, hazardous-material, or other high-risk uses. Do not rely on it where a delayed, duplicate, missing, or incorrect print could cause death, personal injury, or significant property or environmental damage without independent safeguards and verification.

Restrictions and ownership

You may not resell or sublicense SpoolRoute, distribute the desktop installer or SDK as a standalone product, share license credentials outside the licensed project, remove ownership notices, circumvent license or security controls, or use the software to build a competing copy. Reverse engineering is prohibited except to the limited extent applicable law does not allow that restriction.

Knisley 3D Solutions LLC and its licensors retain ownership of SpoolRoute, its SDK, documentation, trademarks, and other intellectual property. The purchaser receives only the license expressly described here.

Payment, delivery, and refunds

Stripe processes payment and shows the amount due before the charge is completed. Digital delivery begins after Stripe confirms payment. The purchaser must then verify control of the licensed website before the license file and authenticated downloads become available.

Refund eligibility and digital-delivery remedies are described in the refund and delivery policy, which is incorporated into these terms.

Support

Support covers reasonable help with purchase access, website verification, license delivery, documented integration behavior, and reproducible product defects. It does not include building or maintaining the purchaser's web app, Windows environment, printer drivers, network, or unrelated software.

Warranty disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND SPOOLROUTE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," AND WITH ALL FAULTS. Knisley 3D Solutions LLC DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE.

Knisley Digital does not warrant that every printer, driver, web app, or environment will be compatible or that operation will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The express 14-day compatibility guarantee is limited to the remedy described in the refund and delivery policy.

These terms do not exclude warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow the parties to waive.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knisley 3D Solutions LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising from the website or SpoolRoute. Aggregate liability arising from a SpoolRoute purchase will not exceed the amount paid for that license.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct to the extent applicable law does not permit its exclusion.

Business indemnity

If you purchase or use SpoolRoute for a business or organization, that business or organization will defend and indemnify Knisley 3D Solutions LLCand its owners, officers, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from its web app or content, its violation of law or another person's rights, its unauthorized or prohibited use of SpoolRoute, or its material breach of these terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Knisley 3D Solutions LLC's breach of these terms, negligence, or willful misconduct.

Knisley 3D Solutions LLCwill provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and allow the indemnifying organization to control the defense with qualified counsel. A settlement may not admit fault by or impose a non-monetary obligation on an indemnified party without that party's written consent.

Termination

The license terminates if the purchase is refunded, reversed, or charged back, or if the purchaser materially violates these terms and does not correct the violation after reasonable notice when a cure is possible. Upon termination, use and distribution must stop and copies under the purchaser's control must be deleted.

Knisley Digital may temporarily suspend License Center, download, update, or support access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate fraud or abuse, comply with law, or address a security risk. When practical, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. A temporary online-service suspension does not by itself terminate a valid perpetual license to versions already delivered.

Governing law and disputes

Ohio law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where applicable consumer law requires another forum or gives a purchaser non-waivable rights, the state courts in Miami County, Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over a dispute arising from these terms, the website, or SpoolRoute. Each party consents to those courts' personal jurisdiction.

General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. The purchaser may not assign the license or these terms without Knisley 3D Solutions LLC's written consent; Knisley 3D Solutions LLC may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of the product or business, or transfer to an affiliate or successor.

These terms, the incorporated refund and delivery policy, and the product description and price shown on the SpoolRoute purchase page at the time of purchase are the entire agreement about the purchase and license, except for an express written agreement signed by both parties. Headings are for convenience and do not limit a provision.

Changes to these terms

The effective date identifies this version. Updated terms apply to future website use. A material change will not retroactively reduce a paid purchaser's perpetual license rights without that purchaser's agreement, except where a change is required by law.
