Changelog

Recent releases

  1. 0.2.26

Consistent drill and tap results that reopen exactly

    • Gave drill and tap measurements the same complete candidate cards, confidence, measured evidence, and nearby-size comparisons as fastener results.
    • Added drill and tap result saving to the local Parts Bin.
    • Made saved drill and tap measurements reopen the exact candidate that was selected.
  2. 0.2.24

Searchable hardware libraries and clearer size comparisons

    • Unified threads, drill bits, tool openings, washers, and pipe in one offline searchable library.
    • Added nearby verified sizes, including measured cross-system neighbors where the supported data allows them.
    • Made library facts easier to scan with clearer signals and distinct fastener-head illustrations.
  3. 0.2.17

Drill and tap identification and sizing

    • Added a calibrated Drill & Tap Gauge for common Metric, Fractional, Number, and Letter drill bits and straight-thread taps.
    • Added a Tap & Drill Finder with tap-drill sizes and separate close, normal, and loose clearance-hole references.
    • Improved Metric and Inch/SAE drill labels and added the closest commonly labeled alternative when an exact size is less familiar.
  4. 0.2.15

Clearer fastener measurement and larger-screen layouts

    • Made Metric and Inch/SAE support explicit throughout fastener identification and added calibrated peaks-and-valleys thread profiles.
    • Strengthened Light and Dark thread contrast and improved foldable, tablet, and pipe measurement layouts.
    • Improved the protected-screen blade-fuse contact interaction while keeping broader physical fuse and device validation open.
  5. 0.2.10

Fuse touch check and Other tools

    • Added an Other tools area with a screen-response check for loose, disconnected blade and round fuses.
    • Added screen-protection guidance and clarified that screen contact is not a continuity result. Confirm the fuse with a meter.
    • Improved the Verify before buying panel in Dark mode.
  6. 0.2.9

    Measurement locking and refined workplanes

    • Added an explicit lock step before using a captured diameter or length measurement.
    • Clarified thread lines and hardware targets, and refined workplanes on larger and foldable screens.
    • Regenerated the Google Play screenshot set from the current interface.
  7. 0.2.8

    Saved themes and wider-screen layouts

    • Added saved Light, Dark, and System theme choices.
    • Reduced unnecessary scrolling on foldable and tablet layouts and gave instruments more usable space.
  8. 0.2.7

    Machined instrument visuals

    • Introduced a more consistent machined-instrument visual system.
    • Improved caliper construction and fixed overlapping scale labels.
  9. 0.2.6

    Caliper and height-gauge tools

    • Added a digital-caliper diameter tool and a height-gauge layout for fastener length.
    • Refined the pipe gauge for clearer comparisons.
  10. 0.2.5

    Clearer measurement work areas

    • Improved instrument depth and separated measurement work areas without changing the sizing math.

Roadmap

What's coming

Direction shown here does not promise a release date.

  • Validation

    0.2.31 UI and usability candidate

GaugeFox 0.2.31 is available only to Google Play Internal testers. It retains the native-gravity Level, Plumb, and Angle work from 0.2.30 and adds clearer results, calibration guidance, toolbox hierarchy, head and drive illustrations, themes, accessibility, and small-screen layouts. Production remains 0.2.26 until Play installation and the required physical calibration, real-part, and sensor checks pass.

  • Validation

    Device and screen-protector validation

Physically check the fuse touch flow across more Android touch controllers, bare glass, and common screen protectors.

  • In development

    Calibration and accuracy coverage

Expand recorded calibration and accuracy checks across more screen sizes and Android device classes.

  • Planned

    iOS packaging

Prepare an iOS release after the current Android measurement and validation work is ready to carry across platforms.

Changelog

Recent releases

  1. Pricing & public tools

A clearer starting point for pricing your products

    • PlyOps now shows a complete example product with selling price, costs, and estimated profit, and links its homepage directly to the free pricing calculator.
    • Public product and marketplace pages are shorter, free-tool cards include theme-matched video walkthroughs, and inventory count sheets print more clearly.
  2. Packaging & inventory

Find a box for the whole shipment

    • The free packaging calculator now compares multiple items and quantities with available box sizes, including spacing and stacking choices.
    • Inventory audits keep rapid scans in order while counts save, and new material and packaging assignments start at one.
  3. Workspace & recovery

    A more consistent workspace

    • Product inventory now uses the same section navigation and variant filters as other product details, with clearer product actions and material colors on smaller screens.
    • Pricing surfaces missing inputs first, spreadsheet imports separate mapping from row decisions, inherited measurements appear on variants, and key browser-storage screens offer a retry.
  4. Shop performance

Deeper shop performance without rewriting history

    • Shop performance now includes custom dates, marketplace mix, top products, shipping spend, and fulfillment pace.
    • Fulfilled orders keep the estimates used when they were completed instead of rewriting historical results.
  5. Connections & performance

One connection setup and clearer shop performance

    • Marketplace access is now managed from Connections instead of being requested again inside orders or products.
    • The dashboard separates recorded order totals from cost-covered profit and shows materials, packaging, production, postage, and fees.
  6. Inventory

Inventory is available from each product

    • Each product now has an Inventory section for on-hand counts, locations, recent changes, stock alerts, labels, and adjustments.
    • Products with active variations keep those counts separate by variation.
  7. Reliability & speed

Safer retries and faster product workspaces

    • Product creation, inventory changes, reviewed imports, and Shopify drafts keep one safe operation through retries.
    • Cloud libraries can open from the safe device copy while PlyOps checks for updates, and product pages defer secondary workspaces until they are opened.
  8. Products & review

    Safer product and shop workflows

    • Pricing, product setup, inventory scanning, and marketplace review now keep the chosen variant, shipping mode, stock location, and review state intact.
    • Missing inputs and unavailable actions are clearer before users continue.
  9. Libraries & recovery

Safer bulk actions and clearer recovery

    • Large product libraries now load in manageable groups, and bulk changes keep failed items selected.
    • Cloud deletion runs in confirmed batches, slow saves explain when to reload, and Free accounts can check browser storage.
  10. Pricing

Marketplace fee estimates follow the selected schedule

    • Product pricing keeps buyer shipping separate from postage and applies selected eBay category, order-value, and Shopify plan rates.
    • Conditional charges such as Etsy Offsite Ads stay out unless the seller previews them.
  11. Printing

    Easier direct-print setup

    • Printing settings now guide users through installing the included Windows print helper, saving a printer setup, and choosing where each PlyOps printout goes.
    • Browser printing and downloads remain available without SpoolRoute.
