Privacy policy

This policy explains how Knisley 3D Solutions LLC, operating Knisley Digital, handles information on knisleydigital.com and through the SpoolRoute customer and License Center services.

Scope and operator

Knisley Digital is operated by Knisley 3D Solutions LLC, located in Ohio, United States. This policy covers the Knisley Digital website and SpoolRoute customer services hosted on it.

GaugeFox has a separate app privacy policy. PlyOps and other external websites have their own policies.

Website requests

Vercel processes standard request information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested page, referring page, request time, and security events to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site.

The public SpoolRoute customer notice and installed-test page use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page counts and referral trends. Vercel may process the page path, referring site, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device category. Query strings are removed before a page view is sent, private customer and owner routes are excluded, no analytics cookie is used, and Knisley Digital does not receive a browsing history tied to an identifiable visitor.

SpoolRoute also counts a short fixed list of diagnostic actions. Each count contains a random event identifier, the fixed action, its fixed page source and version, and a server time rounded down to the hour. It contains no email, account, purchase, visitor, browser, website, printer, job, document, file, error text, or free-form metadata. It has no direct purchaser identifier, and the product report does not join these action rows to purchase records.

Existing SpoolRoute purchases and licenses

Prior purchase records may contain an email address, full name, optional business name, web app name, and the public HTTPS website address covered by the license. Purchase and license records also contain identifiers, payment status, website-verification records, license revisions, and delivery history.

Stripe processes payment information and receives the customer email, purchase identifiers, and relevant name or business metadata. Knisley Digital does not receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes.

Purchase, website-confirmation, and license records are stored in a private Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Signed release files are delivered from private Vercel Blob storage through authenticated download routes.

License Center access

When you request a License Center sign-in link, the service processes your email address and request IP address. It stores keyed fingerprints derived from the email and IP address, purchase identifiers, request and delivery status, and access timestamps to locate licenses, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.

Resend delivers the access email. A sign-in link expires after 30 minutes and can be used only once. Successful sign-in creates an essential, secure License Center cookie that expires after 30 days unless you sign out earlier. Session tokens are stored only in hashed form on the server.

SpoolRoute installed printer test

The tester talks directly to the SpoolRoute desktop app on the same computer. Knisley Digital does not receive printer names, printer settings, connection keys, or selected files. This browser keeps a private connection key so the approved website can remain connected. You can remove it from the tester or disconnect the website in the SpoolRoute desktop app. The public site may count that the tester was started, but it does not receive the connection result, available printers, selections, print requests, or test outcome.

Support messages

If you email support, Knisley Digital receives your email address and the information you choose to send. That information is used to answer the request, troubleshoot products, prevent abuse, and maintain appropriate business or legal records.

Service providers and disclosures

Knisley Digital uses service providers only for specific operating purposes: Vercel for website hosting, file delivery, and aggregate Web Analytics on the public SpoolRoute pages described above; Supabase for the private SpoolRoute database; Stripe for payments; and Resend for transactional email. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments while providing those services.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect customers or the service, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce agreements, or complete a business reorganization. Knisley Digital does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies, tracking, and external links

The public website does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral analytics. Vercel Web Analytics uses no cookie and reports aggregate traffic; SpoolRoute action counts contain no visitor or session identifier. The License Center cookie described above is strictly necessary for authenticated customer access. Because the website does not perform cross-site behavioral tracking, browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals do not change its behavior.

Hardware guides may link to retailers. A compensated link is labeled near the link and may include partner tracking values. The destination receives normal request information under its own privacy policy. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Retention

Purchase and license records are retained while needed to deliver and support a perpetual license and afterward when reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Refund and payment records may be retained with the associated purchase record.

Access links and cookies stop working at the expiration times stated above. Related request, session, and security records may be retained after expiration while reasonably needed to prevent abuse and investigate account access. Support messages and hosting logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their operating, security, business, or legal purpose.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held by Knisley Digital. We may need to verify that you control the relevant email address or license before acting on a request. Information may be retained when needed to provide a perpetual license, complete a transaction, protect the service, resolve a dispute, or comply with law.

You can sign out of the License Center to revoke the current browser session. You can also avoid optional business-name fields, retailer links, and support disclosures that are not needed for your request.

Security

Knisley Digital uses HTTPS, restricted database credentials, hashed or keyed access values, short-lived sign-in links, secure cookies, signed software, and authenticated download routes. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please report a suspected account or security problem promptly.

Children

The website and SpoolRoute are not directed to children under 13, and Knisley Digital does not knowingly collect personal information from them. SpoolRoute purchasers must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where they live.

United States operations

Standalone SpoolRoute purchases were offered only to customers in the United States. Website visitors should understand that information is processed in the United States and in provider locations used to operate the services.

Policy changes

The updated date identifies the current policy. Material changes will be posted here before or when they take effect. If a change materially affects a customer service, additional notice may be provided through that service or by email when appropriate.
