Information stored on your device

GaugeFox stores the screen calibration, an unfinished measurement, and Parts Bin entries such as quantity and shop notes in local app storage. This information stays on that device unless you choose to share or copy it.

Sharing and support

Share and copy actions run only when you choose them. Android or the destination app handles what you send. If you email support, Knisley 3D Solutions LLC receives the information you include and keeps it only as long as needed to answer you or meet business and legal recordkeeping requirements.

Network and device access

The Android app has no account system, cloud sync, camera, microphone, precise-location, contacts, or photo access. Its measuring and reference tools work from files packaged with the app. It does not use a separate behavioral-analytics SDK.

When you visit the GaugeFox website, the hosting provider may process standard request details such as an IP address, browser type, and request time to deliver and protect the site. Knisley 3D Solutions LLC does not currently add advertising or behavioral analytics to that site.

If you choose a merchant or web search, GaugeFox places the displayed item search text in an HTTPS link and opens that destination outside the Android app. The destination receives the search text and standard request details under its own privacy policy. A merchant link marked Paid link can also include the partner tracking values required to credit a purchase. GaugeFox does not send your saved calibration, measured values, Parts Bin notes, or a persistent user identifier with that link.

Advertising and privacy choices

Beginning with version 0.2.1, the Android app can show a Google AdMob banner on the toolbox, Libraries, Parts Bin, and completed fastener, pipe, and hardware result screens. Ads are not shown during calibration or while a measurement gauge is in use. Google's Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares an IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, and encrypts it in transit.

GaugeFox does not attach calibration values, raw measurements, Parts Bin notes, or merchant-search text to an ad request. The app checks Google's consent status at launch, shows a consent message where required, and waits until Google reports that ads may be requested. Retailer links

Retailer searches are optional and do not change the measurement ranking. A paid link is labeled near the retailer choice. If a purchase qualifies, Knisley Digital may receive a commission at no added cost to you. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Delete your information

Delete individual Parts Bin entries inside GaugeFox. Uninstalling the Android app removes the information stored by GaugeFox on that device. GaugeFox does not hold a cloud copy to recover afterward.

Children

GaugeFox is listed for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. Advertising requests are configured as not child-directed. Knisley 3D Solutions LLC, operating as Knisley Digital, does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Policy changes

This policy will be updated before GaugeFox adds any service that changes how information is collected, used, or shared. The updated date above identifies the current version.
